The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) recommends drivers allow extra travel time or use alternate routes. * I-10 narrowed to two lanes in each direction between Avondale Boulevard and 99th Avenue from 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (November 17) for freeway widening. DETOUR: Please slow down and use caution in the work zone. * Westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) narrowed to two lanes between Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and Priest Drive from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (November 17) for freeway widening. Westbound on- and off-ramps closed at Rural Road. DETOUR: Traffic on Rural Road should use adjacent freeway interchanges to access westbound US 60. * Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) narrowed to two lanes in each direction between State Route 51 (Piestewa Freeway) and Tatum Boulevard for carpool lane construction. Eastbound lanes will be narrowed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday (November 15). Westbound lanes will be narrowed from 10 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday (November 16). DETOUR: Please slow down and use caution in the work zone. * Northbound I-17 narrowed to one lane between Jomax Road and Dixileta Drive from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (November 15) for bridge work. DETOUR: Please slow down and use caution in the work zone. * Eastbound I-10 narrowed to one lane at 99th Avenue from midnight to 5 a.m. Sunday (November 16) for freeway widening. DETOUR: Please slow down and use caution in the work zone. The Arizona Department of Public Safety has recently begun a project to install speed-enforcement cameras on freeways around metro Phoenix. While the Arizona Department of Transportation does not operate this program, ADOT is working with DPS to create safe work zones while crews install the cameras. To facilitate the safe work zones, occasional restrictions and closures may be necessary to install the camera hardware on freeway shoulders, and to embed sensors into the freeway pavement. ADOT will make every effort to keep the public informed when these installation activities affect freeway traffic. * Northbound I-17 closed between Thunderbird and Bell roads from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (November 15). DETOUR: Traffic will exit at Thunderbird Road and remain on the frontage road to Bell Road. * Westbound I-10 closed between SR 51 (Mini Stack) and I-17 (Stack) interchanges from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (November 15). DETOUR: Westbound I-10 traffic should use I-17 at the Split and take I-10 exit at the Stack. Traffic from Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) and State Route 51 (Piestewa Freeway) will be directed to eastbound I-10 and then to I-17. * Westbound I-10 closed between 59th and 91st avenues from 10 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday (November 16). DETOUR: Traffic will exit at 59th Avenue, then go north to Thomas Road, west to Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) and south to I-10.
