Since our inception in 2001, Friends of Transit’s mission has been to educate the community about the benefits of mass transit as part of a balanced regional transportation plan. With these public meetings, now is your chance to give your input. And one thing we have learned over the years, our readers have LOTS of opinions about transportation matters – and a wide diversity of opinions at that! David State Transportation Board to Hold Public Hearings for Statewide Transportation Investment Strategy PHOENIX - The State Transportation Board will host a series of four public hearings in June to invite public comments on a statewide transportation program developed by the Arizona Department of Transportation collaboratively with regional and local transportation partners from across the state. ADOT’s Statewide Transportation Investment Strategy outlines a transportation program that would be funded through a ballot initiative filed by the TIME (Transportation and Infrastructure Moving Arizona’s Economy) Coalition.
