The State Transportation Board will host four public hearings throughout
the State during the month of June to get public comments on a statewide
transportation plan.

Since our inception in 2001, Friends of Transit’s mission has been to
educate the community about the benefits of mass transit as part of a
balanced regional transportation plan.

With these public meetings, now is your chance to give your input.  And
one thing we have learned over the years, our readers have LOTS of
opinions about transportation matters – and a wide diversity of opinions
at that!  Anyone who cares about transportation (all modes of
transportation) needs to attend and give their input.

State Transportation Board to Hold Public Hearings for Statewide

Transportation Board will host a series of four public hearings in June
to invite public comments on a statewide transportation program
developed by the Arizona Department of Transportation collaboratively
with regional and local transportation partners from across the state.

ADOT’s Statewide Transportation Investment Strategy outlines a
transportation program that would be funded through a ballot initiative
filed by the TIME 
(Transportation and Infrastructure Moving Arizona’s Economy) Coalition.

The public hearings will be held at various locations throughout the
state as follows:

*	Wednesday, June 4,   5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,Northern Arizona
University Cline Library Assembly Hall, Flagstaff 

*	Monday, June  9 , 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Town of Marana Council
Chambers, 11555 W. Civic Center Drive, Marana 

*	Wednesday, June 11, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,   Phoenix Convention
Center West 106 B and C Meeting Rooms, 100 N. 3 rd Street, Phoenix 

*	Thursday, June 19 , 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Manning House, 450 W.
Paseo Redondo, Tucson
