The three will be featured at a city-sponsored open house about sustainable transportation. Protecting the environment, which includes topics ranging from ways to reduce air pollution and the miles residents drive to limiting the acreage used for parking lots, is one of the goals of Scottsdale's Transportation Master Plan. Panelists for the event are: • Phillip Allsopp, chief executive officer of architecture school Taliesen West. • Aaron Golub, associate professor of planning and sustainability at Arizona State University. • Jim Charlier, president of Charlier Associates Inc., a transportation planning firm in pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly Boulder. After the discussion, attendees will review and comment on recommendations for the Transportation Master Plan, which is being drafted to guide the city's transportation needs for the next 20 years. Another open house is planned in October
