Free bus service is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Tempe and the United Phoenix Fire Fighters Association. Enjoy riding the bus to and from the July 4th Tempe Town Lake Festival and avoid the hassles of traffic and parking. This event will, however, require street closures and bus detours in downtown Tempe. Normal Sunday/Holiday schedules will operate in Tempe, with the exception of the following detours: Detours starting at 11 a.m. Neighborhood Flash Eastbound Regular route east on 5th St. to Ash Ave.; south on Ash; east on University Dr. to Mill Ave.; resume regular route. Neighborhood Flash Westbound Regular route west on University Dr. to Mill Ave.; continue west on University to Ash Ave.; north on Ash; east on 5th St.; resume regular route. New schedules will take effect on Monday, July 8. Changes to these routes will be included in the July Bus Book. Saturday route remains unchanged. Route 112 has been restructured to provide continuous service on Country Club/Arizona Avenue between McKellips Road in Mesa and Frye Road in Chandler.
