Subject: PARK AND RIDE LOT OPEN HOUSE Date: Wednesday, September 20, 2006 11:48 PM PARK AND RIDE LOT OPEN HOUSE GLENDALE, Ariz. - Residents and bus passengers are invited to a public open house to learn more about the Park and Ride facility being planned and designed to serve the communities in and around Glendale Avenue and Loop 101. The open house is being held Thursday, September 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Raymond S. Kellis High School Cafeteria, 8990 W. Orangewood.City of Glendale representatives and project design consultants will be available to answer questions and gather public input. Construction on the 646-space Park and Ride Lot will begin in 2007. The facility will serve as a local Park and Ride Lot, future Bus Rapid Transit Park and Ride, coupled with bus stops along east and westbound Glendale Avenue. The design amenities include parking canopies, passenger walkways, passenger shelters at Glendale Avenue, security building and a central platform. The project will be completed by December 2007.
