METRO crews are working hard to minimize impacts on traffic. When it is completed, the METRO Light Rail system will cover 20 miles through the cities of Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. Route 1 Eastbound will follow this detour: Regular route east on Washington Street to Mill Avenue Continue east on Washington/Curry Street* South on Scottsdale Road West on Rio Salado Parkway South on Mill Avenue - resume regular route *Note: Routes 56 Northbound, 66 Southbound, and 76 Southbound will also use the Curry and Scottsdale Road temporary routing.
