Transit Oriented Development

Please join the Tucson Department of Transportation and the Rooms
Transit on the Move project team for lunch, a presentation, and open
discussion about the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) opportunities in
Tucson. Key speakers will be:

Homer Williams, the CEO of Williams and Dame, a Portland-based
development firm specializing in urban housing and mixed-use
development. As the principal developer of the Pearl District in
Portland, Homer has led the creation of one of America's most successful
and livable new urban neighborhoods.

Charlie Hales, HDR, Vice President, Transit Planning, is an expert in
transit and Transit Oriented Development. You'll learn about TOD trends,
development types, design examples, and how they relate to FTA land use
requirements. Hear case studies on TOD and gain insight into associated
regulatory and market issues. Interact with other real estate developers
interested and taking part in Tucson TOD.
