The Pima County Board of Supervisors will consider placing the Regional Transportation Authority's plan on Dec. 13 and a proposal to impose a half-cent sales tax to pay for it on the ballot. "I fully anticipate that we will have a majority - if not a unanimous - vote to place it on the ballot," board chairwoman Sharon Bronson said Wednesday after the RTA board unanimously approved the final version of the plan and formally requested that it and the tax question be included on the ballot. The plan includes 35 roadway-improvement projects in Tucson and surrounding communities; expanded Sun Tran and other public-transit services; enhancements and expansion of the area's pedestrian and bicycle routes; and funding for wildlife corridors and assistance to businesses affected by the projects.
