The City of Tempe Transit Office, Tempe in Motion, will officially open the doors of its Transit Store, located at 502 S. College Ave. (southwest corner of Fifth Street and College Avenue), at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. The store will operate seven days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., making it convenient and easy to purchase bus fare. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, transit staff will be at the Tempe Transit Store to pass out free giveaway items and Greyhound will raffle off a 7-day Ameripass valid anywhere Greyhound goes. In addition, the first 100 customers who purchase a monthly bus pass or one book of tickets will receive a $10 gift card for Target or Fry's Food Store. The Tempe Transit Store offers one-stop shopping for bus travelers and is strategically located in downtown Tempe, a connecting point for most local and regional bus routes. Bus passengers will be able to purchase every type of fare at the new store, including tokens, bus passes, ticket books and day passes. Customers will also be able to purchase Greyhound Bus Line tickets, as well as ship packages via Greyhound. Bus riders can still purchase fare at the Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Rd., as well as most Fry's Food Stores. Fare will no longer be sold at the Tempe Transit Office, Sixth Street and Mill Avenue.
