David A. Boggs, Executive Director, Valley Metro RPTA
Executive Committee
Valley Metro RPTA Executive Director David Boggs’ career has spanned more than 40 years as a leader for both public and private organizations across the United States. His vast professional experience includes more than 30 years in the transportation (bus, rail and highway) sector.

Boggs began working as the executive director for Valley Metro RPTA in April 2005, shortly after the agency was transitioned to serve in a more regional capacity with the passage of Proposition 400 and the implementation of the transit portion of the Regional Transportation Plan in Maricopa County.

Previous professional experience includes Vice President/General Manager for ATC Phoenix, Regional Vice President for ATC Southwest/Northwest Region, Vice President/General Manager for ATC Las Vegas, Director of Transit Operations for Laidlaw Transit, Principal Consultant for Pacific Dynamics Management Corporation, General Manager of Sacramento Municipal Utility District and General Manager of the Sacramento Regional Transit District.

His involvement with the community includes serving as a board member for the United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Friends of Transit and Junior Achievement.
